When Shooting Video ...

  1. Rule #1: Be extremely CAREFUL with my camera!
  2. Make sure not to move the camera around too much (this will make your audience feel “seasick”). Stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart and keep your elbows locked at a constant angle (put them against your body for added stability). When possible, use a tripod or put the camera on a desk or shelf.
  3. Only shoot what you need. Video files take up A LOT of space on a computer, so we won’t have room for unnecessary footage. Make sure to PAUSE the camera between shots!
  4. When you are done shooting, make sure to see me so I can show you how to transfer the video to the computer.
  5. Take the time to LOG your video so you don't have to go through it again and again to remmeber what footage you have.
